2/1/15 Klamath Steelhead caught and released courtesy of Ron Kellogg
Winter Steelhead fishing the last 10 days on the Klamath River continues to be a productive relaxing adventure. One cannot go wrong with little to no boat traffic, biting fish, and weird spring type weather in January and now February. My clients have been catching an releasing Winter Steelhead in the 1 to 7pound range on a variety of methods, from side-drifting roe to casting Rapala's. The fishing action has been steady thoughout the day with most averaging 7 to 15 fish per trip. Give me a call (530 905 0758), if this sounds like your cup of tea.
